• Happy October Fox Trail Families!

We have had an exciting start to our school year! First and foremost, we want to thank our entire community for being patient and flexible with us as we have changed our safety procedures and perimeter access this year. Our utmost responsibility is to keep our students and staff safe and we wouldn’t be able to do that without your cooperation!

We would like to welcome two new staff members: Alyssa Miranda (Front Office) and Timothy McAfee (Campus Monitor).

Our Open Houses were packed with our Fox Trail families. We were grateful to see all of your smiling faces and introduce ourselves to some new students and families to Fox Trail. PTSA has hit the ground running this year with all of their volunteer meetings. If you haven’t joined the PTSA yet this year, please do so! Our PTSA truly is the heart of our school and they help our students in so many ways!

We would like to thank Ms. Baston for two successful School Advisory Council Meetings and thank you to all of our community members who continue to show their support at our SAC and SAF Meetings. If you have not attended a School Advisory Council or School Advisory Forum Meeting in the past, we would love you to join us monthly as we discuss our School Improvement Plan and other important information that effects our school.

Across the school our students are setting their WIGs (Wildly Important Goals). They have finished taking their iReady Diagnostic 1 and are setting goals to increase their score for iReady Diagnostic 2. They are Striving to Meet their 45 minutes per week goal and battling other classes in their grade levels! The friendly competition has really prompted a school movement towards one goal and has been great to see!

Mrs. Labon and Mrs. Silva are spear-heading our Student Council this year. They are off to a great start by having their first fundraiser of the year for Hurricane Florence victims. Our students donated a dollar or more to dress out of uniform on the last Friday of September. They raised over $1300!!! Great job Student Council! #kidshelpingkids

Our school is part of the Western Innovation Zone. Other schools in this zone include: Silver Ridge Elementary, Flamingo Elementary, Indian Ridge Middle, and Western High School. Together, as a zone, we will be hosting a Hispanic Heritage Festival on Saturday, October 27th from 11AM-3PM at Indian Ridge Middle School. Please refer to the homepage of our website for more information about this event.

If you have not completed your Back-to-School Forms Online and need assistance, please call or visit our front office.

We are excited for our upcoming activities happening this Fall! We hope to see you at some of them!

Please read our newsletter for upcoming dates and other important information!
