• Happy New Year Fox Trail Families,

We hope you all enjoyed a relaxing and fun-filled Winter Break. We cannot believe we are already starting Quarter 3!

We are diving into the new year with our Broward Standards Assessments for 3rd through 5th grade beginning January 10th. This mid-year assessment helps us to monitor student learning and to plan instruction based on student performance. Please see the school calendar on our website for the dates of all the assessments. They will be listed at the end of our newsletter as well.

As you know we are now a Title I school. Title I has helped us purchase many new materials for our students and is helping us fund our upcoming after-school/Saturday academic camps. We need your help in order to continue receiving this support! If you have not completed the Free/Reduced Lunch Application for this year, please visit myschoolapps.com and apply! We are also trying to get some feedback regarding Title I and would like you to take a 5-minute survey for the Title I Department. Please visit https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScnKdfr0WPQaXJOiN4_zs0pd25i8-jHtrfcAuHgoZ0CR8jlKQ/viewform to complete the survey. Thank you in advance!

We are hosting a Science Alive Family Night on January 14th! For those that received confirmation to attend, we can’t wait to spend a night exploring Earth Science with you!

As always, we would love to see you at our PTSA meeting (1/10 at 6:30PM) and SAC/SAF meetings (1/28 at 2:15PM). Both will be held in the Media Center.

Class pictures will be held on January 30th and 31st this year. Your child’s teacher will be communicating which day his/her class will be taking pictures.

Lastly, parents of car-riders please remember to place your Mathnasium Car Tag in your car beginning January 8th. One student from every family should have received one of these before Winter Break. If your child is a car-rider and someone from your family did not receive one, please let the front office know upon returning from break. Also, if you received more than one car tag, please submit the extra copy back to the office. These new car tags will need to be visible at all times while on campus. Thank you for adhering to our new safety procedure. We are constantly learning and changing in order to make our campus safer for our students and staff.

Thank you for your continued support. Our doors are always open and we welcome your feedback. Here’s to a magnificent 2019!

Your Lead Learners, Ms. Burgess, Principal, Mrs. Nelson and Mrs. McGreevy, Assistant Principals
