Bookings

The School Board of Broward County's  Policy 4140 details the process for parents, as defined by Florida Statutes, of a student enrolled in a Broward public school, or any adult student who objects to the use of specific instructional or material(s) being used in a school curriculum or media center to complete a protest on the instructional and/or digital materials.

The Instructional Innovation & Digital Learning Distance Learning Program provides interactive educational experiences to all K-12 Broward County Public Schools. Whether you are taking your class on a virtual field trip or connecting with another classroom, distance learning provides opportunities to explore the curriculum and deepen student knowledge. Distance Learning

The Instructional & Digital Materials team strives to provide Broward County Public Schools with information regarding instructional materials that support teaching and learning. Instructional Resources personnel are dedicated to providing the highest quality instructional materials to students and teachers.  We are driven to affect student achievement and to acquire, organize, and make available the sources of information needed to purchase and maintain the District’s instructional materials.
 

Instructional & Digital Materials

The Instructional Technology team includes our four Instructional Technology Facilitators who support educators in personalizing learning through digital tools, emphasizing innovation and student engagement. Our team leads district-wide professional development to help teachers effectively integrate technology into their pedagogy and practice. Professional learning opportunities with district approved artificial intelligence tools are being offered to help educators tailor instruction even more closely to students’ individual needs, fostering greater engagement and supporting diverse learning styles. Technology integration motivates students and helps drive measurable gains in academic achievement.

Instructional Technology

Library Media Services, within the Instructional Innovation & Digital Learning Department, empowers schools by advancing literacy, digital learning, and innovation. Through access to high-quality print/digital resources, support for digital literacy, responsible use of technology, the integration of Innovative Learning Commons (ILC) and the implementation of makerspaces, we help students become engaged readers, critical thinkers, creative problem-solvers, and lifelong learners. 

Library Media Services

Professional Learning enhances the effectiveness of instructional and non-instructional staff by providing high-quality professional development opportunities. Our focus is on supporting educators so they can, in turn, positively impact student achievement. Our department is committed to improving student achievement by providing high-quality, aligned professional learning, coaching, and mentoring. Through a culture of collaboration, trust, and continuous improvement, we empower educators, teachers, mentors, coaches, and leaders to make data-informed decisions that enhance instructional practice and support transformational leadership across Broward County Public Schools.

Professional Learning

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. In STEM classes, students learn by asking questions and exploring ideas from different subjects all at once. Instead of learning each subject separately, students study them together based on a topic.

In these classrooms, students think carefully and use their creativity to solve problems and come up with new ideas. STEM can be part of science, math, computer classes, career training, and other subjects. Many schools also offer STEM through clubs, where students get to use what they’ve learned to solve real-world problems.
