Locations - Below is the address of each location as well as a link to directions via Google Maps.

First Day of Class - students report to the Driver’s Ed “Range”. Our “ranges” are the areas of the parking lot where students practice their maneuverability and driving skills. Please look for instructors in bright Driver’s Ed instructor shirts. Please read below to know what to bring on the first day, as well as the location of the ranges at the school.

First Day Protocols –

All students should bring a folder and something to write with if possible.

BCPS students should bring their student ID and be ready to confirm their name, DOB, and home address.
Charter & Private school students should bring a form of ID that confirms their name and school (Student ID) AND a form of identification that confirms their date of birth (birth certificate, permit, etc). Be ready to confirm their name, DOB, and home address.

Students will receive a study guide and a syllabus on the first day. The BCPS dress code is enforced just like a regular class, except for footwear. No flip flops, sandals, slides, or Crocs are permitted for Driver’s Ed. Students MUST wear closed-toe and closed-heeled shoes.

Students who have their restricted license should bring it to every class, as you cannot drive on the road without it.

Lost Certificate

Once students successfully complete the Driver’s Education course and pass either the Class E Knowledge Exam (learner’s permit) or the Class E Skills Exam (driver’s license), they may visit the DMV to obtain their license. The DMV uses a paperless system, and student records are submitted electronically through the FLHSMV Idemia system.

Before visiting the DMV, we strongly recommend reviewing our Permit and License Testing page to ensure you’re fully prepared and to help avoid any potential issues during your visit. If you encounter any problems at the DMV that cannot be resolved on-site, please contact your test administrator via email. Contact information is provided to students after they successfully pass their exam.

Permit and License Testing

If an agent states that your test result or the Driver Education Traffic Safety (DETS) course is not on your account, please kindly ask for a supervisor. Explain to the agent and supervisor that you took the BCPS Driver’s Education program, which is part of the DELAP Provider System (Driver’s Education Licensing Assistance Program). That means a third party (BCPS) administered your test and that BCPS Driver’s Education program is a substitute for the DETS and TLSAE course requirement. Agents are supposed to be trained in this nuance rule but sometimes they aren’t, which is why asking for a supervisor will help resolve this issue. If a student is turned away at the DMV after speaking to a supervisor using the helpful hints above, the student must reach out to the instructor who tested them to resolve the issue. If the student has lost the contact information of the teacher who helped administer the test, please reach out to Dillon Giorgis at 754-321-1871 to coordinate this resolution.”
