Behavioral Health Providers

Established in 1987, the Behavioral Health Partnership (BHP) is a collaborative agreement between the school district and community-based behavioral health providers. Its purpose is to give school personnel access to a vetted list of providers who meet standards set by the BHP Committee.

These approved providers may offer services to students on school campuses when referred by school staff or as a supplement to support already being provided at home. School personnel determine whether on-campus services would benefit the student. These services are not part of a mandated educational program but are additional supports offered by community partners.

Cost of Services

As part of the partnership, providers agree to offer services at no cost to families. Instead, they bill insurance companies or use other funding sources. Families must give written consent to receive services, which may take place at school or in the home. However, schools are not required to allow services on campus.
