Office of Capital Programs

The Office of Capital Programs (OCP) plans, designs, builds, and maintains all Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) buildings and school campuses.

The OCP is responsible for the management, planning, design, construction, and overall implementation of the District’s on-going capital building and improvement programs. Capital programs include school maintenance, new schools, capacity additions, renovation and remodeling of existing facilities and infrastructure in accordance with applicable codes and standards.

The OCP is also responsible for management and oversight of the SMART General Obligation Bond Program, a District initiative that involves renovations and improvements to schools Districtwide.

OCP works collaboratively with the Physical Plant Operations (PPO) Department, other District departments, governmental agencies, and regulatory entities to provide comprehensive facility services to schools.  Working in partnership with School Administrators, the OCP team strives to implement necessary upgrades to school campuses efficiently and with minimal disruption to school operations and learning environments.
