Environmental Compliance

Environmental Compliance activities are guided by laws and regulations to keep us and our physical environment safe. Our activities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Coordinating asbestos and lead-based paint inspections and remediation projects,
  • Performing the Indoor Air Quality inspections,
  • Managing the removal of hazardous materials from facilities,
  • Evaluating drinking water in all buildings for lead,
  • Evaluating Radon in new and renovated buildings, 
  • Identifying, monitoring, and managing State-threatened species (Burrowing Owls),
  • Coordinating surface water management systems inspection, maintenance, and repair, 
  • Inspecting fuel storage tank systems operation and environmental protection features, and
  • Managing surface water, hazardous material, and fuel storage system licenses for all District Facilities.
