Empowering Academic Excellence: The Role of Title I, Part A & ESSA
Welcome to the Broward County Public Schools Federal Programs Department. Our mission is to champion educational equity and excellence for all students, with a particular focus on supporting those facing economic challenges. As stewards of the largest K-12 grant program from the U.S. Department of Education, we are committed to leveraging Title I, Part A funds to create transformative educational opportunities. Our department works tirelessly to implement schoolwide programs that provide additional teachers, professional development, and innovative instructional activities, all aimed at helping our students master the Florida Standards and achieve academic success. Guided by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), we strive to ensure that every child in Broward County, regardless of their economic background, has access to a high-quality education and the resources they need to thrive. Join us in our endeavor to build a stronger, more equitable educational foundation for our community's future.
Maximizing Title I, Part A Funds in Broward County Schools

This includes providing a well-rounded education encompassing various subjects outlined by ESSA.
