History

Broward County Public Schools conducted a Request for Information (RFI) as an initial, exploratory step in its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) modernization effort. The purpose of the RFI was to better understand current ERP capabilities available in the marketplace and to validate the district’s business, technical, and operational requirements before initiating a formal procurement process.

During the RFI phase, the district engaged business process owners, department leaders, and subject matter experts across functional areas such as Finance, Human Resources, Procurement, and Reporting. Input gathered through this process helped inform a comprehensive understanding of district needs, integration considerations, and future‑state goals. The RFI did not involve vendor selection, scoring, or ranking, and no purchasing decisions were made as part of this phase.

The information collected through the RFI has been used to refine requirements and prepare for the subsequent Request for Proposal (RFP) phase, ensuring a well‑defined, transparent, and competitive solicitation process aligned with district priorities and governance standards.
