The Department of Legislative Affairs plays an important role in helping Broward County Public Schools run smoothly and effectively. We support the School Board by making sure meetings, policies, and official records are handled with care, transparency, and accuracy.
We also work closely with state and federal leaders to speak up for our schools—advocating for laws and funding that support students, teachers, and classrooms. Our goal is to help shape policies that make a real difference in our district’s day-to-day operations and long-term success.
Beyond our legislative work, we focus on building strong partnerships with other government agencies, keeping school policies up to date with state laws, and improving the way we deliver services across the district—especially when it comes to administrative support and public records.
