Welcome to Governmental Affairs

The Governmental Affairs team at Broward County Public Schools serves as the vital link between the District and our federal, state, county, and local partners—including all 31 municipal governments within Broward County. Our team leads the coordination and implementation of initiatives, programs, and activities that strengthen these intergovernmental relationships and ensure alignment with the District’s priorities.

Through strategic direction, collaborative leadership, and a commitment to excellence, we help guide the District’s engagement with government entities in ways that support BCPS’s mission, vision, and strategic goals. By setting clear standards of practice and fostering open communication, the Governmental Affairs team ensures that all outreach efforts are effective, efficient, and in service of our students, families, and schools.

Welcome to District Administrative Services

District Administrative Services plays a key role in supporting the administrative priorities of the School Board, the Superintendent, and departments across Broward County Public Schools. We work closely with the Board Office to coordinate the tracking and delivery of vital data requests, organize trainings, and assist with the planning and execution of Board events and meetings. In addition, our team oversees the review and maintenance of the District’s policy project, ensuring that policies remain current, compliant, and accessible. Through collaboration with interdepartmental staff, we also manage and support the successful processes of Rule Development and Rulemaking, helping to guide policy from draft to adoption in alignment with the District’s goals.

Welcome to Official School Board Records

The Official School Board Records department is responsible for maintaining and preserving the permanent, historical records of The School Board of Broward County, Florida—with Minute Books dating back to 1915. Our team attends all School Board and Workshop meetings, records proceedings, and prepares the official minutes in accordance with legal requirements. We manage the District’s electronic agenda system (Granicus), produce Board Recaps summarizing each meeting, and document the official actions taken by the Board on all agenda items. Through accuracy, transparency, and dedicated service, we help uphold the integrity and continuity of the District’s governance.

The Public Records Request Department is committed to ensuring transparency and accountability by managing the capture, tracking, response, and release of public records in accordance with Florida’s Public Records Law, Chapter 119, Florida Statutes. Our team works diligently to process requests efficiently and accurately, providing timely access to vital district records while upholding all legal and confidentiality standards. We take pride in supporting the public’s right to know and in maintaining open communication with our community, stakeholders, and partners.
