The purpose of the Autism Spectrum Disorder Add-On Endorsement Program K-12 is to provide an alternative training program to reduce the number of out-of-field teachers working with K-12 students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and to develop a pool of qualified and fully endorsed teachers with this specialized focus. The option of completing the Autism Spectrum Disorder Add-On Endorsement Program K-12 is available for teachers in lieu of taking online courses made available through limited university options.
The endorsement is made up of the following courses that can be found by searching in LAB.
- Nature & Needs of ASD (39129677)
- Applied Behavior Analysis & Positive Behavior Supports for ASD (39133428)
- Alternative Communication & Assistive Technology for ASD (39136412)
