Supplemental Arts and Sciences (SASP)

The Supplemental Arts and Sciences Program (SASP) is designed to support schools in enhancing learning beyond the classroom through field trips. All elementary, middle, and alternative/exceptional centers receive a categorical allocation in their budget, giving them the flexibility to use these funds at one or more approved SASP institutions. This allocation may cover admission and/or transportation costs related to the field trip. Field trips can also include in-school residency programs. Each participating cultural organization is required to align its programs with the district’s curriculum frameworks.
