Reassignments provide the option to request a different school other than a student's assigned home boundary school, based on a computerized random selection and available space at the school.

Heron Heights / Park Trails Elementary School Combined Area
Combined boundary choice option that assigns students living within the Heron Heights / Park Trails Elementary School combined area to Heron Heights, Park Trails, or Riverglades Elementary School based on priorities and available space.
Students living within the Heron Heights / Park Trails Elementary School combined area must complete a School Choice application to attend Heron Heights, Park Trails, or Riverglades Elementary School
The boundary choice area was proposed by the Demographics & Enrollment Planning Department and adopted by the School Board of Broward County Florida on March 22, 2017. As a result, a portion of the combined Heron Heights and Park Trails Elementary School boundary is now assigned to Riverglades Elementary School to align enrollment growth with new school capacity. The entire area east of University Drive, south of Loxahatchee Road, west of State Road 7/ US 441, and north of the Sawgrass Expressway is assigned to Riverglades Elementary for the 2017/18 school year and beyond.
