Dual Enrollment & Early Admissions
Dual Enrollment gives eligible students the chance to earn college credits, while still earning their high school diploma! Many of the public colleges/universities in Florida offer Dual Enrollment and the college application, registration, tuition, textbook, and lab fees would be waived while completing Dual Enrollment. The college courses would be offered on the selected schools campuses/centers, online, and at several high school locations.
Important Information

To be eligible for Dual Enrollment in college credit courses, students must:
- Have a 3.0 cumulative, unweighted high school grade point average.
- Minimum college-level test scores or college readiness using Alternative Methods of Placement in all areas - Writing/English, Reading, and Math.
- Obtain permission from the high school counselor before enrolling.
- Follow the required procedures of the college.

Dual Enrollment Career Certificates
Dual enrollment career certificate programs will allow students to earn elective credits toward the high school diploma, while working towards a career certificate. These shall not be used to enroll students in isolated career courses.
Career Certificate Important Information

To be eligible for Dual Enrollment in a Career Certificate program offered through the Broward Technical Colleges, students must:
- Have a 2.0 cumulative, unweighted high school grade point average, inclusive of any college courses the student has taken.
- Pass the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) at the required exit level for the targeted career certificate program.

Early admission is a form of dual enrollment through which eligible students enroll in a postsecondary institution on a full-time basis.
