High School Counseling

High school counselors and BRACE (Broward Advisors for Continuing Education) Advisors work together to support students academically, socially, and in preparing for life after graduation—whether that path leads to college, technical school, military service, or the workforce.

Guided by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) National Model, school counselors provide academic guidance, social-emotional support, and career readiness skills through classroom lessons, small group sessions, and one-on-one counseling.

BRACE Advisors specialize in helping students explore and navigate postsecondary options. They assist with college applications, scholarships, financial aid, and career exploration tools like Xello.

Together, counselors and BRACE Advisors ensure students graduate with a plan and the confidence to pursue their future goals in a diverse, ever-changing world.
