Students Against Violence Everywhere (SAVE) Promise Clubs

Students Against Violence Everywhere (SAVE) Promise Clubs is a student-led pro-social club initiative by the Sandy Hook Promise Foundation. The pro-social clubs aim to cultivate and bolster students to take an active role in increasing school safety and preventing violence in schools and communities through the use of research-based programs such as Start with Hello and Say Something. Start with Hello teaches students about empathy and aims to combat social isolation and promote a culture of inclusion and connectedness among students. The Say Something program aims to prevent violence, suicide, bullying, self-harm, and other threatening behaviors by educating students on the critical warning signs of someone who might hurt themselves and others. It encourages reporting warning signs and concerns to a Trusted Adult.

Every school in the District has been offered the opportunity to have a SAVE Promise Club, so their students can show their creativity and passion for protecting their friends, schools, and communities from violence BEFORE it happens.
