• Oakland Park Elementary has a besautiful garden area at the base of our auditorium stairs.  Ms. Bonner's class takes special pride in maintaining the area.

The class started working in our garden by planting some vegetable seeds,  along side the cucumber seedlings already in our garden. We are excited to be to seeing more vegetable seeds sprout in the next few weeks!
This year our garden has become "home" to some baby IGUANAS, that love eating our many seedlings. The class has researched that hanging  CD's will scare them away as the CD's catch the sunlight. We will be hanging them around the garden so wish us good luck!
This week the lilies on the path way of the garden were weeded and mulched with the help of two students from 5th grade. Our ASD cluster is expecting to see beautiful flowers in the Spring season.
    Have a great day!
