Legislative Education and Action Online Resource

The 2017 Florida Legislative Session will begin on March 7, 2017. Leading up to the first day of Session, state legislators will be convening in Tallahassee for committee meetings. During committee meetings, legislators will discuss legislative and budget priorities for the upcoming session. In an effort to assist stakeholders with your advocacy efforts, we have created the Legislative Education Action and Online Resource (LEAOR) as an easy to use tool to contact elected officials on education issues.

Along with the email tool, we also encourage you to call legislators. Please click here for their contact information.  Be sure to check out and subscribe to the BCPS Legislative Affairs team emails for updates on education legislation. Please click here to subscribe. The Department of Legislative Affairs will periodically update the "Bills of Interest" section for Broward County Public School stakeholders to review. Whenever you click on a bill of interest, you will be brought to a page where you can create an e-mail concerning that bill to send out to elected officials.
