• Phase 2 eLearning Meals

Face-to-Face Grab-and-Go breakfast will start promptly at 7:20 am in three different locations daily. All students may receive a free breakfast provided by Broward County Public Schools. To receive the breakfast students will enter their student number.

Breakfast carts and tables will be set up in three locations with garbage cans centrally located for student to discard their waste:

    500 Breezeway (Bus Loop)

*Students who enter the school from the bus loop will receive a Free Grab and Go Breakfast near the bus loop and will sit in the 500 breezeway to eat their breakfast.

    Rotunda (Gymnasium)

*Students who receive their lunch in the Rotunda area will sit in the courtyard/rotunda area and will remain seated until the first bell rings.

    900 Breezeway (Science Building)

*Students who are seated in the cafeteria will remain seated in their seats until the first bell rings to report to their first class. Extra seating for Grab and Go Breakfast will be outside cafeteria

Students will line up in six feet distance marked on the ground. Plus may only sit in the seats that do not have a blue X marked on the seat as social distancing will be appropriately enforced. All tables will be cleaned and sanitized once students have left the areas for dismissal to class. For students safety they must stay in their areas that they are eating breakfast. They will not be allowed to wander around once they have finished their breakfast. So students will not be allowed in the building to eat lunch with staff or to eat in corridors or where there is no supervision.

Face-to-Face lunch will resume as usual with students and staff having 30 minute lunch determined by their 3rd period (Red Day Bell Schedule) and 7th period (Gold Day Bell Schedule) classes.

*During lunch, students do not have to wear masks once they find a seat and begin eating. Though students will be required to wear masks when they are not eating.

To keep safe physically distant from each other the cafeteria tables and benches outside have been clearly marked where students may sit. Blue taped X’s signify where students are not allowed to sit along with tables being spread out so that students will not have to squeeze by each other to get a seat. Students will not be allowed in the building to eat lunch with staff or to eat in corridors or where there is no supervision.

Home eLearning students can pickup Free Grad-and-Go meals up at Deerfield Beach High from the car loop off of Buck Pride Way.

Children or their parents can drive or walk up to receive meal bundles that contain multiple days-worth of meals for all children 18 years or younger who are not participating in face-to-face eLearning. Parents must bring identification for their child, like a student ID, or report card, to pick up meals if child is not present at each meal distribution in front of the Science (900) Building.

Breakfast and lunch are free for all children 18 years and younger until December 31, 2020, thanks to the extension of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Summer Meals Program. Families are encouraged to apply for free or reduced-price meals at myschoolapps.com, as schools will return to the National School Lunch Program – where meals are provided based on meal eligibility – once the Summer Meals Program extension expires. Students may also qualify for additional benefits.

Broward County Public Schools system allows parents to pay for their child’s meals online as well as view their account balance and what their child has purchased. Parents will need their child’s FSI number to access the information. The MCS system will automatically generate the student’s “NEW” pin/meal number. Click this myschoolbucks.com link to make online payment.

Your child may qualify for Free or Reduced pricing for breakfast and lunch. Click this link for more information.
