Mrs. Beason began working in the fall of 1998 as an Elementary Educator with Broward County Public Schools upon earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and Primary Education. Because of her passion to help students and their families, she began classes at Barry University in the Counseling program shortly thereafter. After earning her Masters of Art degree in Guidance in Counseling in 2005, she worked as an Elementary School Counselor and successfully served in various counseling capacities at a Middles School. She began working at Charles W. Flanagan in 2011, and has enjoyed working with students and parents in every grade level. She believes that all students can be successful at achieving their goals towards academic and social growth if given the support that is needed. She happily balances her role as a School Counselor, wife, and a mother to four children.

Mrs. Jacobson graduated from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Consumer and Textile Marketing.  She pursued a career in Business but was drawn to the school environment, wanting to work with students on attaining their academic, post-secondary, and personal goals.  Mrs. Jacobson went back to school and earned a Master of Science degree in Human Services-School Counseling from National Louis University, Chicago, in 2008.  She spent five years as a K-8 Counselor in a separate day school for students with severe emotional disabilities on the south side of Chicago, and another four years at an accelerated high school with at-risk youth seeking alternative methods to obtain their high school diplomas. In 2017, Mrs. Jacobson moved with her husband, son, and daughter to South Florida to be closer to family. She is very excited to be a part of the Falcon Family and can't wait to meet her new students!

Mrs. DiBenedetto graduated from the University of Florida where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and, went on to earn a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. In 2009, Mrs. Di Benedetto earned National Board Certification in Guidance and Counseling. Mrs. DiBenedetto has been a School Counselor since the year 2000. Prior to joining the school system, Mrs. DiBenedetto worked as a Mental Health Counselor with a private non-profit agency in Miami-Dade County counseling teenagers in local high schools. Mrs. DiBenedetto is married with 3 children: a daughter who recently graduated from UCF and works in the hospitality industry, a daughter who attends middle school and a son who is in elementary school. She is excited to be part of the Flanagan Falcon Family!

Ms. Prieto graduated from St. Thomas University with her Bachelors in Human Services and Masters in School Guidance K-12. She is entering her 21st year as a School Counselor for Broward Schools. She is the proud mother of two sons and has one beautiful granddaughter as well as a little grandson on the way. Ms. Prieto will lend her assistance to staff, families and the community and looks forward to working with parents and students in preparing them for future success. She is prepared to offer support to students academically as well as socially.
