• Students in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) take part in college-level courses where they can earn college credits as well as scholarships that attract competitive colleges and universities, including Ivy League schools.

    The International Baccalaureate Career-prep Program (IBCP) is a unique program specifically tailored for students who wish to engage in career-related learning while experiencing the rigor of the IB courses. We are the only school to offer the IBCP in Broward County.

    Aviation (Drone Program), in conjunction with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University beginning in Fall 2017, students will be engaged in STEM activities by learning to design, build, and fly unmanned aircraft systems.

    Journalism students create a quarterly school newspaper covering school events. Once published, the newspaper is made available to the public through the newly designed school website.

    Debate students, as a part of a district-wide initiative, learn research, logic, organization of ideas to improve critical thinking skills.

    Orchestra students, beginning in fall 2017, will be introduced to the genre of classical music and learn to play woodwind, brass, string, and percussion instruments.

    Latinos in Action is an elective course focused on bridging the achievement gap of Hispanic students while acclimating to the United States through academics, culture, leadership, and service.

    Mentoring Tomorrow’s Leaders (MTL) is a peer-to-peer mentoring, student leadership and educational reengagement program for students at risk for not graduating and/or remaining in school.

    Health and Wellness students are giving back to the community by providing first-class health skills. Students have an opportunity to earn industry certifications as an EKG Technician, Emergency Medical Responder, and Certified Personal Trainer.

    Career and Technical students receive real-world experiences, starting the classroom:

    • Twelve college credits can be earned as a Global Logistics Associate.
    • Three college credits can be earned in Adobe Dreamweaver and Microsoft Office Specialist Bundle that can be used to waive a math or college level course.
    • Industry Certifications may also be earned in Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator.

    Culinary students have the opportunity to earn ProStart and ServSafe industry certifications allowing them to go from the classroom directly to the workforce.

    Dual-Enrollment students can earn college credits from the following institutions to gain insight into what full-time college coursework will be like:

    • Broward College
    • Florida International University
    • Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University
    • Atlantic Technical College

    YMCA (21st CCLC) is a free afterschool program where students engage in academic learning opportunities while gaining personal growth and social enrichment. Youth in Government, as a part of the YMCA, gives students the opportunity to serve in a youthled model government process helping students become servant leaders. Boyd Anderson has one of the largest delegations in Florida.

    Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID), beginning fall 2017, offers mentoring and guidance while supporting students specifically in WICOR (Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading).

    Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) students learn academic standards while engaged in leadership education and training to produce successful students and citizens.
