The Office of the Chief Financial Officer has received numerous awards. Judith M. Marte received The Council of Great City Schools (CGCS) Bill Wise Award for Distinguished Service to Urban Education in 2016. In 2008, the Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) Financial Division was the first district in the nation to receive the CGCS Award for Excellence in Financial Management. BCPS has received the Distinguished Budget Award and Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for over 20 consecutive years. In addition, BCPS has received the Meritorious Budget Award for over 20 consecutive years from the Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) and was awarded the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting by ASBO for 34 consecutive years.

Since the beginning of the 2010-2011 school year, the volume of usage by parents and students of the on-line school payment system has reached over several million dollars.
