    Competition: 2017-2018 Art in the Capitol Competition
    Information: The 2016 Florida Legislation passed House Bill 701 related to "Art in the Capitol" competition. The "Art in the Capitol" competition is a statewide visual arts competition that has each school district annually hold an art competition for all students grades 6 though 8 attending public schools, private schools, art academies and home education. Thirty-eight works of student artwork from eleven schools were on view at the Young At Art Museum.
    Theme: "Art in the Capitol"

    Competition: 2017-2018 "Art in the Capitol" Competition
    Information: The winning "Best of Show" art piece travels with our state representative to Tallahassee to be shown with the other District winners in a collective exhibition. The art piece will be displayed in the State Capitol for a year.

    Competition: 2018 Broward Education Foundation's 21st Annual Innovative Teacher's Idea Expo Student Art & Design
    Information: Over one hundred twenty five students' original artwork was entered and judged. Winning student  art work will be featured in Sun-Sentinel ad, on the Innovative Teacher Idea Expo catalog, posters, programs, flyers and on social media.
    Theme: Artwork is to reflect teachers sharing ideas, innovative ideas, student learning, classroom supplies, or creative similar alternatives.

    Label: 28th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Art Exhibits. Honoring the life and works of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
    Information: Winners of the Art and Literacy Exhibits Contest will be recognized at a special Awards Reception inside the Coral Springs Museum of Art at which time they will receive trophies from the Mayor and City Commission Members.
    Theme: "Living Together in Brotherhood"
