Jaguar Athletics 2021-2022
Dear Jaguar Parents,
It is with great pride that we welcome you to Indian Ridge Middle School for the 2021-22 school year. To make the transition for your child as smooth as possible, we wanted to get this information out to you, should you choose to get a jump start on completing all necessary documents for sports participation in advance.
Indian Ridge has been extremely successful in interscholastic sports over the past years, winning 5 County Championships and numerous Division Championship Titles. During the school year, there are many sports that your child can take part in; Cross-Country, Golf, Soccer, Basketball, Cheerleading, Volleyball, Flag football and Track/Field. These teams are offered to all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade boys and girls.
Due to a change in Broward County Middle School Athletic Policy, all students interested in being part of a school team, must submit all required paperwork, including proof of a current physical prior to trying out. Doctors visits should take place after June 10th, 2021, so that there is no overlap in season/medical clearance. All forms must be submitted on the website www.registermyathlete.com, and should NOT be turned into the school.
Please visit this site, register your child, and upload all of your completed forms.
It’s probably best to keep a copy of all submitted forms for your records. When you submit forms, I will receive/approve it if it is submitted correctly. In the event there is something missing and the form is not complete, it will be rejected with an explanation of how to correct it for re-submission. Once you are completely registered and all forms are submitted correctly, you’ll receive notification that your child is CLEARED for tryouts. This is necessary once per school year, regardless of the number of teams your child tries out for.
It’s best to register your child for ALL sports, in the event they chose to try out for more than one sport.
We look forward to seeing you in 2021/2022!
Regina Lendinara, Jaguar Athletic Director
