CORAL SPRINGS HIGH GAY-STRAIGHT ALLIANCE (GSA) CLUB
MISSION
Generally, the mission of the GSA Club is to enhance the education of the total student body as it relates to gender identity, sexual orientation, homophobia, and to promote the emotional and mental health of any students that are prone to bullying, shunning, and other forms of marginalization. More specifically, the GSA Club will focus on the emotional and mental well-being of LGBTQ students by providing educational, recreational, and entertainment opportunities for club members.

MEETINGS DATES & TIMES
Meetings are held every 1st, 3rd, and 4th Wednesday of the month.
Meetings are held in Room 609 at 2:45. Meetings typically last for 45 minutes.
MEMBERSHIP & PARTICIPATION
Club dues are set at $5 but are waived for extenuating circumstances.
Members can choose instead to be active in fundraising efforts.
Attendance at weekly meetings is not mandatory, but members who do not attend at least one meeting per month can have their membership dropped.
EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES
Traditional annual events include the following:
1) GSA Summit (in October, Sponsored by Broward County Public Schools – Office of Diversity, Prevention, and Intervention)
2) Relay for Life (in March).
BENEFICIARIES
Stakeholders of the GSA Club are LGBTQ students, student allies to LGBTQ students (friends), supportive parents, supportive teachers, school administrators, school counselors, and students enrolled in Peer Counseling classes.
