    3rd grade  level blurb:

Happy October to everyone! We've had a great start to our year! The students are working hard and we thank you for all your support you've given so far!
Here are some helpful tips and reminders for you:
Agendas: Please remember that there are two spots to sign in the agenda each night. The first is on the behavior log to see how your child's day went. The second is on the homework page to see what assignments your child has that night.
Homework/Blue Folders: Please check these folders every day for important flyers and homework. Anything on the "Return to School" side should be looked at returned to school as soon as possible. Anything on the "Keep at Home" side should be taken out.
iReady: Students are required to complete 45 minutes in reading and 45 minutes in math. Some time is given at school to complete these minutes, but we need your help at home too. iReady provides extra support in math and reading at your child's level.
AR: Students have chosen their AR book for the month of October. Once they have finished reading their book, they will take the quiz in school. Students may take other quizzes throughout the month, but please make sure they are working on the book they chose for their monthly quiz, as this quiz will be taken for a grade.
Multiplication Quizzes: A letter went home last week explaining how all 3rd grade students will begin being quizzed on their multiplication facts, starting Wednesday, October 16th, and every Wednesday after that. Students will begin with the 2's facts and once passed, they will move onto 5, 10, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, and 9. Each week, your child's teacher will let you know if your child passed or if your child will be repeating the same fact for the next quiz. Please take a few minutes each day to work on studying the set of facts your child needs to pass that week. You can make flash cards to help them study.
Again, thank you so much for all your support! We are a team and together we can help your children succeed!
