    Dear Parents/Guardians of a Gifted Child or Children:

    Plantation High School will be hosting a two-week camp this summer for 200 gifted and intellectually talented children. Gifted students who are entering grades 3 through 8 for the 2020 - 2021 school year are eligible to apply. The cost of the camp will be $350.00 for the two weeks. Payment will be due at time of selection.

    Plantation High School’s Summer Camp for the Gifted

    June 29th through July 09th
    Monday - Thursday (No Camp on Fridays)
    8:30a.m. - 3:30p.m.


    For those parents not able to pick their camper(s) up at 3:30 PM, we will be offering a sports enrichment program each camp day from 3:30 – 5:30 PM for an additional fee of $50.00 per week. No refunds will be issued.

    Plantation High School’s Summer Camp for the Gifted will provide a learning environment that values and enhances the gifted student’s ability, creativity, and passion for learning. Transportation and meals will not be provided.

    Every student who is accepted will be exposed to:

    • Fitness Fun: Sports and Indoor/Outdoor games
    • Climate Change
    • Coding
    • Debate
    • Chess

    Each student will be immersed in one of the following Electives courses:

    • Chorus/Drama
    • Rocketry
    • Fine Arts
    • Robotics
    • Sewing and Creative Crafts


    Interested parents/guardians should send their completed application to Plantation High School. The application deadline is February 27, 2020. Once all applications are processed, a committee will select up to thirty students of each grade level to attend the camp. Decision notifications will be sent by March 25, 2020.
