• NEW DUAL ENROLLMENT GUIDELINES 

     

    Early Admission guidelines remain the same for the 2019-20 school year.

     

    Grades 9 & 10

    • Students who meet the Dual Enrollment criteria may take one* Dual Enrollment course per semester at Broward College, Florida Atlantic University or University of Florida for a maximum total of two courses during the school year.
    • At Broward College, students may also take one course during any summer term; however, only one course may be taken in total during the entire summer period**.
    • The Dual Enrollment class may be taken on the college campus, on the high school campus, or online (Nova High does not offer DE courses on the high school campus at this time).

    Grade 11

    • Students may take two* total Dual Enrollment courses per semester at Broward College, Florida Atlantic University, University of Florida, or any combination of those schools for a maximum total of four courses during the school year.
    • At Broward College, students may also take one course during any summer term; however, only one course may be taken in total during the entire summer period**.
    • Both Dual Enrollment courses may be taken on the high school campus; however, students may take a maximum of one Dual Enrollment course on the college campus or online.  The second Dual Enrollment course must be taken on the high school campus.

    Grade 12

    • Students may take three* total Dual Enrollment courses per semester at Broward College, Florida Atlantic University, University of Florida, or any combination of those schools for a maximum total of six courses during the school year.
    • At Broward College, students may also take one course during any summer term before 12th grade; however, only one course may be taken in total during the entire summer period**.
    • All Dual Enrollment courses may be taken on the high school campus; however, students may take a maximum of two Dual Enrollment courses on the college campus or online.  The remaining Dual Enrollment course(s) must be taken on the high school campus.
