• Circulation

All materials MUST be checked out of the media center.  This practice makes it easier to locate materials when they are needed by teachers and students and helps keep accurate circulation records. All materials may be searched using Destiny or Destiny Quest, VSY's online card catalog. Media Center books are due two weeks from the date of check-out and can can renewed for an additional week.  Books part of special programs such as SSYRA are only eligible for a one time renewal.  At check out, the book's due date is stamped on a blue card placed in the pocket in the back of the book. Students also receive a bookmark to use and may keep the bookmark or return it with the book. Log into your child's Destiny account to find out what your child has checked out and when the items are due.

    Obligations

It is the responsibility of each student to return their own books to the media center on or before the due date.  If a book is damaged beyond repair, lost, or not returned, an obligation will be placed on the student's account. Items not returned within 90 days automatically generate an obligation. Obligations can only be cleared by making payment on the Broward estore.  Obligations will remain on a student's account until the book has been returned in usable condition or if the obligation has been paid through the estore. Please keep in mind when making payment for an obligation through the estore, the obligation may not clear for 24-48 hours. The media center does not accept replacement books to clear obligations.
