Hello Sawgrass families, this is Principal DeCotis calling to announce Summer 2021, Get Back! Get Ready! Reconnect! – a summer experience that’s open to all students.

This summer, your student can get back on track academically, get ready for the upcoming school year, and reconnect with their friends, peers, and favorite teachers.

I want to personally invite your student to get back, get ready and reconnect with their friends and teachers during BCPS Summer 2021, a six-week summer experience that can help them accelerate their learning in a face-to-face setting ahead of the next school year.

The summer experience can also help your student make up courses and credits they’ve missed during distance learning.

Summer 2021 is a free six-week experience that starts Monday, June 21 and runs through Thursday, July 29, 2021. Certified teachers will provide face-to-face instruction and CDC safety guidelines will be followed including mandatory mask-wearing, physical distancing, and other health and safety protocols.

Transportation and meals will be provided, and before and after school childcare services are available for participating students.

Classes will be held on our very own campus, Monday through Thursday, for four hours a day, from 9:30AM-1:30PM.  Before care is expected to be offered.

All classes will be held in-person and on campus only – the Summer 2021 Get Back! Get Ready! Reconnect! experience does not include virtual eLearning.

Hola familias Sawgrass, este es el director DeCotis llamando para anunciar verano 2021, ¡Regresen! ¡Prepárate! ¡reconectar! – una experiencia de verano que está abierta a todos los estudiantes. Este verano, su estudiante puede volver a la pista académicamente, prepararse para el próximo año escolar y volver a conectarse con sus amigos, compañeros y maestros favoritos. Quiero invitar personalmente a su estudiante a volver, prepararse y reconectar con sus amigos y maestros durante el verano de BCPS 2021, una experiencia de verano de seis semanas que puede ayudarlos a acelerar su aprendizaje en un entorno cara a cara antes del próximo año escolar. La experiencia de verano también puede ayudar a su estudiante a componer cursos y créditos que ha perdido durante el aprendizaje a distancia. El verano de 2021 es una experiencia gratuita de seis semanas que comienza el lunes 21 de junio y se extiende hasta el jueves 29 de julio de 2021. Los maestros certificados proporcionarán instrucción cara a cara y se seguirán las directrices de seguridad de los CDC, incluyendo el uso obligatorio de máscaras, el distanciamiento físico y otros protocolos de salud y seguridad. Se proporcionarán transporte y comidas, y antes y después de la escuela los servicios de cuidado infantil están disponibles para los estudiantes participantes. Las clases se llevarán a cabo en nuestro propio campus, de lunes a jueves, durante cuatro horas al día, de 9:30AM-1:30PM.  Antes de que se espera que se ofrezca atención.
