Bright Horizons School continues to serve a large population of students who are considered medically fragile. The students’ medical needs are met by having highly effective nurses and trained staff members who dispense medications and respond to many emergency medical situations. Some of the other examples of providing comprehensive medical services include G-tube care, suctioning, and respiratory treatments, seizure monitoring and general health/illness concerns.
The nurses continue to monitor and evaluate each student’s individual health care plan. Also, the nurses are an active liaison between families and the local community regarding the medical care given to our students. The nurses ensure that the student has access to optimal health and educational services.
