Curriculum

  • Welcome back!

We are looking forward to an amazing school year. As your support team we are excited to be given this opportunity to work with you and your child to make this the best year ever. We are excited to begin this journey and are passionate about what are students can conquer in this learning process.

    World Languages

    Magnet Coordinator/Curriculum Facilitator

My name is Adriana Quinonez and I am overjoyed to be at Riverland Elementary and embrace the role of Curriculum Facilitator and Magnet Coordinator. Riverland Elementary is the only school in the district to offer a World Language Magnet Program. We give our students the opportunity to emerge themselves in the French and Spanish language at an early age.

Somewhere inside all of us is the power to change the world – Matilda (Roald Dahl)

    Writing

    ESE Support/Curriculum Facilitator

My name is Elizabeth Napoles and I have the pleasure of serving as the Curriculum and ESE Support Facilitator for 4th grade. In this role, I work closely with teachers in order to support student enrichment, as they become college and career ready readers and writers. All fourth and fifth grade students will participate in the Florida Standards Assessment English Language Arts (ELA) Writing in February. Our students apply text-based writing skills when composing informative/explanatory, opinion, and narrative essays.

A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops. - Henry Brooks Adams

    Computer

    ESE Support/Curriculum Facilitator

My name is Ashley Galloway and I am eager to serve as one of the Curriculum and ESE Support Facilitators at Riverland Elementary. Our school is 1 of 111 elementary schools with the Digital 5 program in Broward County. This program provides every fifth grade student with a laptop in order to maximize student learning by utilizing digital resources. One way students utilize this resource is by conducting research for the scientific process in order to complete their Science Fair project.
