School Counselor
My name is Sandra Ashley and I am the School Counselor here at Riverland Elementary. I'm really looking forward to meeting and working with you and your little one(s), and I want to take a moment to introduce myself.
My main role here is to provide support to you and your child/children. I do so in a number of different ways such as (but not limited to):
- CPST/RTI (our district's method of monitoring your child's overall progress).
- Coordination of standard assessments (i.e., FSA, BAT, etc).
- Relevant classroom guidance lessons about safety, tolerance, doing one’s best, and preparedness.
- Preventative programs (small group or school wide) on topics ranging from anti-bullying to drug prevention.
- Resources & referrals for students and families through district and community agencies.
It's my sincere hope that through consultation and collaboration, you and your child will end this school year feeling as though you were greatly cared for and included in your child's learning and progress. Should you have an issue/question/concern in regards to your child or any of the topics I've mentioned, please don't hesitate to reach out to me.
