The School Board of Broward County has one of the nation’s most comprehensive Anti-Bullying policies. Policy 5.9, adopted on July 22, 2008, helps to ensure all students feel safe and respected while attending school. The District’s Anti-Bullying Policy specifically prohibits bullying of or by any District student or employee.

Arrival and Dismissal
Students should be picked up and dropped off in the car loop only. There is no parking allowed in the car loop. Parents and/or guardians wishing to park need to use the front lot by the security office. If a parent and/or gurdian needs to enter the school for any reason, they must go to the security office with valid ID to be signed in.
Regular school attendance is critical to student academic achievements. Absences must be reported by calling the attendance line at 754.322.6350 or send a written note to your child's teacher. The report must come from a parent and/or guardian, give the date(s) of the absence(s), and the reason. Parents must report the absence(s) within two days following the absence(s).
Students arriving after 8:00am will be considered tardy. A parent and/or guardian must walk their child to the security office in order for them to be admitted to class.

Code of Student Conduct
The Code of Student Conduct, Policy 5.8, provides specific information regarding the rules that all students are expected to adhere to, as well as consequences for violations. Important among these rules are consistent and timely attendance, respect for people and property, appropriate dress, technology usage, student publications, student activities, student records and the right to appeal, including grievance procedures. The School Board of Broward County, Florida, approves and affirms its support of the Code of Student Conduct, Policy 5.8.

The Discipline Matrix is a tool for administrators to respond appropriately when students have committed serious violations, per the Code of Student Conduct. This tool is designed to offer consistency at all levels across the District so that students are disciplined fairly from school to school when their behavior requires punishment beyond the classroom.
