Fox Trail Elementary Safety Leader Program
Fox Trail Safety Leaders have an important role at Fox Trail Elementary. The primary purpose of the program is to enhance the safety of our students. Safety Leader participation offers students an early opportunity to serve as a leader. It is a program that promotes: Citizenship, Leadership, Service, and Responsibility. A safety leader’s job is to model safety rules for students, assist students in safe transitions throughout the building, and to assist staff members with arrival and dismissal procedures.
Safety Leaders must be in fifth grade. Leaders are selected at the end of 4th grade through an application process with a recommendation from a previous teacher and parent permission. Consideration is based on student interest, academic achievement, commitment, sense of responsibility, and attitude toward others.
