In order to educate our students about civic responsibility and to assist students to learn safe and orderly behaviors in the hallways, Park Lakes Elementary trains select students as role models.  These students form the school's Safety Patrol.

To be selected for this role, students must have outstanding behavior, display good character, and maintain good grades. 

The Safety Patrol assists other students by reminding them of the rules for behavior in the hallways and report safety concerns to staff. The students learn to share responsibility for their school and take pride in their assignments.  The Safety Patrol team is trained by the school's Guidance Conselors and security staff.
