Magnet Marine Science Program
The focus of the Marine Science Magnet program at New River Middle School is to emphasize marine education and its application to the real world through hands-on learning and field experiences. The program exposes students to environmental issues and fosters marine stewardship. It is our goal that our students become proactive in their community to preserve and protect their local habitats. All students at New River Middle School will exposed to a wealth of marine-related activities and educational opportunities. The level of involvement in the marine courses and activities is dependent on the students interest in the various courses, clubs, and marine-related opportunities.
