    General Educational Development

    Our General Educational Development, GED® Prep program prepares you for academic and personal success. You’ll obtain the necessary skills required to pass the GED® Prep and earn a State of Florida High School Diploma. Our GED® Prep program strives to motivate you, not only to earn a high school diploma, but also to utilize those skills in the workforce or in continuing your education.

    As a student, you’ll receive individualized instruction in preparing for the GED® exam. Your instruction centers on the subject areas measured:

    Reading/Language Arts (RLA) Mathematics Science Social Studies

    To enhance your learning, you’ll be able to use computers and specialized software to increase different skill areas.

    The length of the time spent in this program is based upon your individual needs. This is an open-entry/open-exit program where you have the flexibility to enter the program at any time and progress at your own pace.

    Cost: $30 per semester

    Activity Fee: A $10.00 Student Activity Fee is charged one time per person, per campus, per school year. This fee is used to offset the costs of providing school security and campus-related activities.

    Assessment Fee: A $10.00 Assessment (testing) Fee for ABE/GED® TABE Post testing is charged.

    Our English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes prepare you to communicate competently in English. Classes are offered from beginning through advanced levels, and are designed for the adult student.

    As part of a language arts program, our ESOL classes are designed to develop all areas of language – speaking, listening comprehension, reading, writing, grammar, and pronunciation. Emphasis is on teaching learning practical language skills that are necessary at home, in the community, and on the job.

    The length of the program is based upon your individual needs. As an open-entry/open-exit program, you have the flexibility to enter and exit the program when your individual needs have been met.

    You will progress in an atmosphere dedicated to adult learners with highly qualified teachers who specialize in teaching ESOL. You will use a variety of learning materials, including computers and software to enhance your reading and speaking skills.

    Cost: $30 per semester
