Regular school attendance is important to a child’s success in school. No amount of make-up class work can substitute for the instruction and interaction provided during the school day.
Parents have an obligation to keep their children in school and to promptly report and explain any absence in written form to the teacher or principal. Failure to comply carries a penalty. (Florida Law 232.10.232.17) Excessive absences will result in notification to the State Attorney’s Office.
