Our primary focus at Pembroke Pines Elementary is to maintain a safe facility and promote an instructional environment where all children will learn to the maximum of their potential. To ensure that this occurs without compromising the integrity of programs and services that we offer to students, it has become necessary to institute the following policies and procedures:
Arrive on time: Any student who arrives to class after the late bell rings at 8:00 a.m. is TARDY. They then must enter the school through the main office and get a late pass before going to class. No student who is tardy will be permitted to enter the class without a late pass. There are NO excused tardies. Excessive tardies will be reported to the school social worker. Reassigned students are at risk of losing their reassignment due to attendance/tardies.
Campus will be locked at 8:00 a.m. All gates and entrances to the campus will be locked at 8:00 a.m. Students arriving after the 8:00 bell rings will be required to enter the campus through the west entrance by the front office. Employees are not permitted to open gates or doors after the 8:00 bell has rung.
Dismissal We encourage parents to make all medical appointments after school is out at 2:00 p.m. Students will not be released between the hours of 1:30 p.m & 2:00 p.m.
