Student Enrichment Through the Arts (SEAS)

SEAS Overview

For 35 years, the Student Enrichment Through the Arts (SEAS) program has brought learning to life through the power of the arts. Established in 1991 through a partnership between the School Board of Broward County and the Broward Center, the award-winning program has impacted more than 4 million students with memorable educational arts experiences.

SEAS provides every Broward County Public School student with the opportunity to attend professional performances free of charge during the school day. More than entertainment, these performances are carefully designed to support classroom curriculum, using theater, music, dance, and storytelling to inspire creativity, strengthen critical thinking, and deepen classroom learning.

Hosted in the Amaturo Theater, an extension of the classroom, SEAS transforms the performing arts into an engaging educational experience that connects students to learning in meaningful ways.

Recognized nationally as a premier model for arts integration, SEAS remains the largest program of its kind in the country and continues to set the standard for excellence in arts-based education.
