  • Welcome to school choice for the 2023/24 school year.

    Broward County Public School (BCPS) provides families with a variety of school choice options.  We encourage parents and guardians to explore all that BCPS has to offer.

    Student Selections Complete

    Phase I student selections are complete.  Application results are final when confirmed with an email and status on the Check Your Status webpage.

    During the student selection process, All applications will show Application received. Processing...

    Status Processing

    Check back during the week of April 17 – April 21, 2023 for more student selections from the waitpool, if space becomes available at the requested school.

    Application results will NOT be given over the phone

    School Choice Window Closed

    The 2023/24 Phase I window closed February 6, 2023.

    Application assistance requests received by the deadline (February 6, 2023, 11:59 p.m.) will be honored as on-time complete applications.

    Notifications will be emailed and updated on the Check Your Status webpage beginning March 13, 2023 thru March 17, 2023.

    Application results will not be given over the phone.

    School Choice Window Opens May 1

    The 2023/24 School Choice Phase II window opens May 1, 2023, 8 am – September 1, 2023.

    No Family Dashboard Required For 2023/24 School Choice Application

    For 2023/24 school year, you no longer need to create a School Choice Family Dashboard, but you will need a student number to apply.

    If you don't have a student number, you may go to any Broward County Public School to have a Student ID Number created.
