According to Gandhi, “[w]e must be the change we wish to see in the world.” With this philosophy in mind, my perspective on education, which I proudly exhibit on my office wall, is “[t]hey won’t always remember what you taught them, but they’ll never forget how you treated them.” If you treat students with respect even when disciplining them, it becomes much easier to encourage them to learn and to prepare for life and the real world.

Hollywood Hills High School has a long-standing sense of tradition and history. I am excited to be a part of the Spartan family, comprised of a staff and community that have such great pride.
Students need to be aware of the standards and behaviors that are expected of them in order to create the optimal learning environment. As a leader in this school, I will continue to hold the students at Hollywood Hills to our school’s high expectations for them as students as well as citizens. Furthermore, I believe getting involved in extracurricular activities such as sports, clubs, and organizations builds character and confidence as well as a sense of accomplishment which in turn will have a direct impact on academic performance. My goal is that each student leaves Hills with an understanding of personal excellence, discipline, dedication, focus, leadership, and teamwork.
“Make Each Day Your Masterpiece. Too often we get distracted by what is outside our control. You can’t do anything about yesterday. The door to the past has been shut and the key thrown away. You can do nothing about tomorrow. It is yet to come. However, tomorrow is in large part determined by what you do today. So make today a masterpiece. You have control over that" -- John Wooden

As a servant leader, I recognize that it is critical to inspire others. Through compassion and collaboration, I believe that solutions can be found for most problems. An active listener, I believe that having an open ear is equally important to having an open door. It is my fundamental purpose to bring rigor, respect and retention to the school on a daily basis. Essentially, I believe that all students CAN learn, have value, and simply need the right opportunities to achieve their greatest potential. My daily intent and purpose is to enrich the lives of the students, staff and school community, and to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people…EVERY day!
Please don’t hesitate to contact me. I am here to serve.
