Born, raised, and educated in Brooklyn, New York I graduated twice from CUNY Brooklyn College and have a Bachelor of Arts in Learning Disabilities and a Masters In Science in Learning Disabilities. I began teaching Preschool ESE in my early 20's and have loved every minute educating our youngest students.
I feel extremely lucky to have grown up down the block from one of the country's most famous beaches, Coney Island. My dad used to carry me on his shoulders every weekend to go on the rides, watch the fireworks, and then stop by the first famous Nathan's for a hotdog.
When I was young I used to come to Florida to visit my grandparents and it was wonderful to be at the beach all year round. It was after my daughter was born that I decided to make the move to South Florida. My son is the first true Floridian in our family. We have called Weston our home for 22 years. This is my sixth year teaching at Country Isles Elementary.
Something you probably don't know about me is that I am a former PTA parent and room parent at CIE. I feel privileged to call Country Isles Elementary my home once again.
