School Pre-Registration Questionnaire Parents thank you for providing valuable input as we make decisions regarding what schools will look like when the new year begins on August 19. We know how difficult it has been not having your children in schools these past few months and are working to create a variety of opportunities for students to interact and engage as much as possible in a more traditional education setting. To ensure our students have a safe and healthy learning environment, the District continues to follow guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and work with local health departments to slow the spread of the coronavirus. We understand families have varying needs and we are working to create options to best meet them. Therefore, we are asking you to complete a student-specific School Pre-Registration Questionnaire to assist us in planning for the needs of your child. The Pre-Registration Questionnaire may be accessed by logging onto your child’s Single Sign-On LaunchPad at sso.browardschools.com. Please complete the questionnaire by Monday, July 6, 2020. Your input and feedback are essential and will continue to be solicited throughout this planning phase.

Want to avoid the dreaded summer slide?

Current Walter C. Young Middle school students will have summer lessons assigned in both Reading and Math. These lessons will help your child retain the concepts learned and will keep their minds fresh for the next school year, so remember to log on at least 30 min a day. This is highly recommended, however not mandatory due to the COVID 19. During the summer, it is important for your child to continue learning at home. The i-Ready program will be available to all students until July 31st. The top iReady users will earn a prize! Students can gain access to the program by logging into their Clever and clicking on the iReady app. Thank you again for your cooperation.
