5th Annual Chris Hixon Memorial Run
Greetings Cowboys! The 5th Annual Chris Hixon Memorial Run is coming up on February 25th, 2023. As part of our 5K event, we invite Broward County middle and high schools to encourage students and staff to sign up. This 5K run is meant to honor the life and sacrifice of Chris Hixon, the Athletic Director of Marjory Stoneman Douglas, who was tragically killed in the school shooting on February 14th, 2018. To continue his legacy, a scholarship fund has been created for graduating student-athletes in Broward County. In order to track school participation, a team has been created for each school. CCHS school community let’s sign up. Select our school team during the registration using the link or QR code provided. There are in-person and virtual options for the 5K.

Safety: Before and After School and Traffic Routes
For student drop off and pick up please click here to view the traffic flow map. Safety for our students, parents, and staff is everyone's responsibility. Please practice courteous and patient driving when in the CCHS parent loop at arrival and dismissal. Pull up all the way forward to the front of the school to drop off/pick up your child. Students may only be dropped off and picked up from the sidewalk along the front of school. No student should be walking through moving traffic lanes. Thank you for doing your part to keep everyone safe.
