Art Club

Members agree on a book and read it beforehand. After everyone has finished, the group meet up to discuss what they think. Since everyone has their own perspective, book club meetings allow for a healthy flow of insights in an open and friendly environment.

Falcon Cove Dance Team is an extracurricular club of advanced dancers in grades 6-8. The team meets weekly in preparation for school performances, off-campus events, and dance competitions. Members become proficient in multiple styles of concert dance (jazz, contemporary, ballet, musical theater) and learn the value of discipline, teamwork, and friendship.

The FCMS Drama Club is a Fine Arts program that specializes in all aspects of theatrical productions. This includes singing, acting, dancing and technical theater. Two productions are done per year and there are many opportunities for our student artists.

First Priority of America, Inc. supports local city FP movements in cities across the US. First Priority Strategy was founded by 12 youth Pastors in the Irving, TX area.

Model United Nations (UN) Club

Students learn about international countries and take on the role of a delegate to the United Nations or a historical conference. They participate in debate-like simulations, make speeches, form alliances, and craft solutions to problems presented to them. Falcon Cove Model UN works in coordination with Cypress Bay Model UN Club, who provide instruction and activities for our club members.

National Junior Honor Society (NJHS)

The purpose of NJHS shall be to create an enthusiasm for scholarships, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote worthy leadership and citizenship, and to encourage the development of character in students of Falcon Cove Middle School. Our minimum requirement is an unweighted GPA of 3.75. Ten hours of community service per semester is required.

Power in Passion Club

Students will be able to create a "passion project" of their choice throughout the course of the year. To help facilitate the process of creating their projects, high school students from Cypress Bay who are skilled in different areas of expertise will provide the students with the knowledge necessary to complete their projects. Students will end the year with more clarity about their interests and will be full of pride after completing the project they worked so hard on! We will meet on Mondays for alternating weeks.

The Spanish Club is open to all students in grades 6th through 8th who are interested in participating in activities related to Hispanic culture and the Spanish language. The club meets before school in room 501 biweekly. (Second and third Friday of each month). Being fluent in Spanish is not a requirement. The club provides an opportunity for students of different backgrounds to practice speaking Spanish, socialize, participate in the club activities, and develop friendships. The culture of the different Spanish-speaking countries is presented. Spanish Club members will be exposed to and immersed in different kinds of music, dance, food, videos, movies, etc. to experience the Hispanic culture and practice the Spanish language in authentic tasks. Other events include participation in Culture week, Hispanic Heritage Month, and field trips.

Student Goverment Club

Student Government is an association that the students run at Falcon Cove. The students elect a leadership and designate what community service projects they want to participate in. The student provides leadership for school pride weeks around winter break, fall break, and spring break. Falcon Cove SGA is designed to collaborate with Cypress Bay's SGA with the goal of continuing the students into SGA at Cypress. SGA meets the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month in Mrs. London's room 208.
