Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) Superintendent, BCPS Athletics and Student Activities Department Staff, JROTC and Military Programs Representatives, and JROTC Students and Families
WHAT:
This annual event celebrates the accomplishments of JROTC Cadets within 31 programs at 29 District high schools, culminating with the announcement and presentation of the coveted JROTC Cadet of the Year trophy and scholarship. Additionally, this year the Medal of Heroism will be presented to a cadet who saved four fellow cadets who were caught in a rip current at the beach.

WHY:
During the event, BCPS Superintendent Dr. Howard Hepburn will conduct a Pass and Review, a long-standing military tradition in which a commanding officer inspects and salutes the unit's personnel. BCPS has one of the largest JROTC programs in the nation, with more than 5,000 students participating and a 99% graduation rate.
