SCHOOL NEWSLETTER
WELCOME FROM YOUR PASSIONATE PRINCIPAL
Greetings Parents, Guardians and Community Members,
Happy New Year!!! The third quarter of school just began, and our teachers and students are working extremely hard to meet the school improvement goals by engaging in rigorous classroom activities and assessments. We continue to track your student’s progress in learning the Benchmarks of Excellent Student Thinking (B.E.S.T.) so that they demonstrate growth on the third and final Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST) Progress Monitoring 3 (PM3). I encourage you to view the assessment dates posted on our school’s website and newsletter.
Resources are available for parents to monitor the academic progress of their children. Parents can utilize Pinnacle to check grades, assignments, and attendance. Currently, we are encouraging all students to utilize iReady Reading and Successmaker Math to prepare for the upcoming assessments.
After school Tutoring will begin for select students in February. Parent permission letters must be returned to Mrs. Greenidge or Mrs. Clavijo, the coordinators. If you have any concerns about student support, please contact the school or attend our next School Advisory Council meeting at 6 PM on Wednesday January 25th.
The School Public Accountability Report contains several types of data designed to inform parents and the public about the progress of Florida’s public schools. This report meets the public reporting requirements of the federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) and certain additional information of interest on the status of Florida’s schools. In addition, the Florida Department of Education publishes school grades and the results of the state assessment of Florida schools. You can access the Florida Standards Assessment (FSA)/Statewide Assessment Data, LEA/School Report Card, school grades, and state assessment reports at:
