WELCOME FROM YOUR PASSIONATE PRINCIPAL
Greetings Parents, Guardians and Community Members,
We are off and soaring into another Magnificent Markham school year! I am excited about our instructional plans to help students move to the next level of academic achievement. In addition, we plan to engage parents and the community through activities, such as School Advisory Council (SAC), School Advisory Forum (SAF), Parents and Teachers Association (PTA).
Our theme for this year is: “Caution…Hard Hats Needed! Great Minds Under Construction”
Steve Jobs stated, “If you are working on something that you really care about, you do not have to be pushed. The vision pulls you.”. The vision of C. Robert Markham Elementary is that all students meet and exceed mastery. Our students, faculty, administration, non-instructional employees, parents, and community members comprise the Markham family, and together we will push them to greatness, as measured by their goals and dreams.
I encourage all families to attend our quarterly Family Nights and Zone Engagement Activities. We will share lots of ideas for helping students to become academic achievers, while making learning fun and engaging. Also, don’t forget to send back the first day packets, which include the Title I Student Parent Compact and Code of Conduct forms. It is going to be a wonderful year!
