“This initiative underscores the significant impact dads can have when they are involved in their children's education,” said BCPS Superintendent Dr. Howard Hepburn. “As a lifelong educator, I have witnessed firsthand the positive influence and crucial role fathers play in shaping their children's lives and futures.”
Studies have shown that when dads are engaged, students tend to perform better academically, have fewer discipline problems and develop into more responsible adults. Fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, uncles, brothers, foster fathers and other male role models are invited to participate in this impactful event.
